Frequently Asked Questions
  • Can you install window tint outside?

Nope. In order to get you a shop-quality installation, we must have a garage to work in.

  • Do you need a garage to tint my car?

Absolutely yes, we must have a garage to work in. Your garage should be large enough to fit your vehicle and should be surrounded by at least three walls. We prefer a 2-car garage, but we can make do with a smaller one.

  • Do you need special lights and a power outlet?

We bring all of our equipment, including lights if we need them. The only thing we need from you is a garage and a place to plug in our extension cord.

  • How long does the average installation take?

Our installation technicians are well-trained and efficient. We can usually tint your vehicle in about 3.5 hours, from start to finish.

  • Will you tint my windshield?

You bet we will, and I highly recommend it. Remember that tinting your windshield can restrict visibility at night, so we want to make sure we don’t put an extremely dark tint on your windshield. Light shades only, please.

  • What parts of Denver do you service?

Our Mobile Auto Tint service covers the entire Denver Metro area. We are here to serve you, so we go where you need us.

  • How much does window tint for a vehicle cost?

Prices vary depending on vehicle type and how many windows you would like to have done. For two front windows, the average customer spends between $225 and $250. Our customers that have a full car or truck to tint spend between $450 and $700. This also depends on how many windows are tinted.

  • Why should I pay you more than the company down the street?

At the heart of window tint and clear bra installation lies the skill of craftsmanship. While great products are widely available, what sets us apart is our dedication to superior craftsmanship, meticulously attending to every detail during installation. We invest the time needed to guarantee each installation boasts premium-grade, high-quality craftsmanship, proudly made in Colorado.

Not everyone sees the value in spending a bit extra, and that's perfectly fine. Our customers, however, recognize the worth. They're not just paying for a service; they're investing in excellence

  • Have you ever wondered why some cars sport purple-tinted windows with noticeable bubbles?

The answer lies in the quality of the window film used. Low-cost films tend to develop a purple hue over time. Additionally, improper maintenance, such as using ammonia-based products directly on the film, can break down its layers, leading to fading and a purple tint.

We prioritize the use of high-quality window films that come with warranties covering issues like bubbling, peeling, fading, and de-lamination. Your satisfaction and the longevity of your tint are our top priorities.

  • How long does it take to tint my windows?

The duration for tinting your windows can vary, influenced by factors such as the size of your car and the type of film chosen. Typically, using traditional film, the process may take anywhere from 2 hours -6 hours. However, for our platinum line of window film, we may recommend keeping the car for a full day.

The advanced technology of the Platinum line extends the installation times, especially if we tint your windshield or your sunroofs. The increased complexity allows us to invest more time in achieving flawless installations, ensuring that your tint appears crisp and clear from the very beginning.

  • How to remove old window tint?

Removing window tinting is typically a manageable task, but the ease can vary based on the window and the quality of the tint. The process may become more challenging if the tint has turned purple or developed bubbles, potentially doubling the removal time. Additionally, rear windows usually take longer to remove than side windows, particularly when there are attached heating elements.

For a smoother and more effective tint removal experience, especially if you have specific issues with your tint, it is advisable to seek professional assistance. Noble window film uses a steamer and adhesive remover to fully remove the old window tint.

  • Does window tint scratch easily?

Window tinting typically features a scratch-resistant coating in its final layer, which helps protect against scratches from minor sources like dust and dirt buildup. However, it's important to handle the tint with care, as sharp objects such as car keys, seat belt latches, or contact with animals can potentially scratch the tint.

It's worth noting that scratches are generally not covered by window film manufacturers. Therefore, exercising caution and avoiding contact with sharp objects will help maintain the integrity and appearance of your window tint over time.

  • What is the legal limit for window tint In Denver Colorado?

In Denver, Colorado, the legal limit for window tint is set at 27% or lighter for side and rear windows. This means that the window film must allow at least 27% of light to pass through. It's important to adhere to these regulations to ensure compliance with Denver's window tinting laws. If you have any specific questions or if you're considering window tinting, feel free to reach out for more information.

  • Can you tint the front windshield of my car?

Certainly! We can tint the front windshield of your car. We highly recommend it, and in Colorado, you have the option to apply a window film shade that is 70% or lighter on the entire front windshield. Additionally, you can choose to have a glare strip installed on the windshield, measuring 4 inches to the AS1 line.

Tinting the front windshield not only enhances the aesthetics of your vehicle but can also provide benefits such as reducing glare and improving overall comfort. Feel free to reach out if you have any specific preferences or if you'd like to proceed with the front windshield tinting service.

  • Does window tint protect me in an accident?

Window tinting provides an additional layer of protection in the event of an accident by acting as a barrier between you and the glass. Once the tint fully cures, it forms a bond with the glass.  In the case of an impact, the tint can help hold the glass together, preventing it from shattering.

If the glass does shatter, the tint plays a crucial role in keeping the broken pieces intact and in place. This minimizes the risk of any shattered glass falling and potentially causing harm to you or any passengers in the car. In essence, window tinting contributes to the safety measures within your vehicle, offering both structural support and injury prevention in the unfortunate event of an accident.

  • Is ceramic window tint worth the extra investment?

Absolutely, investing in ceramic window tint is often considered worthwhile. Ceramic window tint is designed to reflect and absorb the sun's energy, resulting in a cooler and more comfortable interior for your vehicle. Beyond the enhanced thermal performance, ceramic window tint is known for its durability and efficiency.

While the initial cost may be higher compared to other types of window tint, the benefits, including improved heat rejection and overall performance, often make ceramic window tint a valuable investment. If you prioritize a comfortable and cool driving experience, along with long-lasting performance, opting for ceramic window tint is a decision that many find beneficial.
